Our story

Veety was born from a simple belief: urban transport should be clearer, fairer, and more human. Over time, ride-hailing platforms became more expensive for passengers and less profitable for drivers.

We are building an independent French alternative based on a transparent, commission-free model—where prices stay consistent, earnings are fairer, and every trip is more reliable for everyone.

The spark.
August 2025, one ride, one number, one spark
Airport to Lyon. I pay €50. Aaron, my driver, tells me he keeps €37. 13 euros gone on a single ride. And then one question wouldn't let go.
The question.
13 euros. For what?
Why such a gap? What costs really justify it? The more I dug, the less it held up. The model wasn't cheap, it was poorly designed. So we decided to rethink it.
The vision.
What if we changed the rules?
Not another feature. A different model. A clear subscription, zero commission, and people back at the heart of every ride. That's where Veety was born.

We're building it, line by line
Everything in-house, in Lyon. A made-in-France platform built for transparency, safety, and smooth rides. No shortcuts. No compromises.

Nothing is handed to us
Regulation, driver trust, a model no one had dared try. Every wall makes us stronger. We're taking them on one by one.

Veety was born from a simple belief: urban transport should be clearer, fairer, and more human. Not more complicated, not more opaque — just more equitable. That's the idea that pushed a small group of people to ask why, with so much technology available, ride-hailing remained so hard to understand, so expensive for some, and so unprofitable for others.

Over time, the major platforms became giants. Their models, designed to scale fast, ended up widening the gap: passengers paying more, drivers working harder to earn less, and a relationship of trust that gradually eroded. Fares fluctuate without clear explanation, commissions take an ever-larger share of every ride, and nobody really knows where the money goes.

We wanted to start from scratch. Not to do the same thing cheaper, but to rethink the rules. Veety is an independent French alternative built around one core principle: transparency. Zero commission on rides. One fixed euro per trip. Consistent, readable, predictable prices — for the passenger and for the driver.

In 2022, the idea took shape. The first conversations, the first sketches, the first late nights wondering if it was even possible. The ambition was clear from the start: rethink the model, not just the app. Build a service where every stakeholder understands what they pay, what they earn, and why.

In 2023, the first tests began. Prototypes, field feedback, fast iterations. Each version brought Veety closer to a concrete service, designed with drivers and passengers — not against them. We listened, adjusted, and started again. That's when the product truly took shape, driven by honest feedback and a constant demand for simplicity.

2024 marked the gradual launch. The first drivers joined the platform, the first passengers booked their rides. Veety grew city by city, driven by a community that believes in more responsible mobility. No empty promises: a service built on trust, reliability, and respect for everyone involved in a trip.

Today, more than 500 drivers have already joined the adventure. And this is just the beginning. We keep building an independent, transparent, committed platform — for passengers who want to know what they pay, for drivers who want to be fairly compensated for their work, and for the planet, through a concrete commitment of 2% donated to environmental causes.

Veety is the story of people who refused to accept injustice as inevitable. A team, a community, a conviction: ride-hailing can be rethought. Simply.
